1) The Sun’s diameter is shrinking at a rate of about 1.5 meters per hour, which amounts to 1% every 1,000 years! 6,000 years ago, at the moment of creation, the Sun was a full 6% larger! If you increase the Sun’s size by 1% every 1,000 years and work backward in time, you’ll run into problems with evolutionary time calculations! 100,000 years ago, the Sun would have been twice as large as it is now! 20 million years ago, it would have touched the Earth’s surface! There could be no question of the existence of Mercury and Venus! Clearly, the Sun is not billions of years old!
2) If the Earth were millions of years old, it would be covered by a massive layer of cosmic dust tens of meters thick! Meteor dust falls to Earth by the tens of tons, but its quantity and the nickel deposits in the Earth’s crust suggest that the Earth is no more than 6,000 years old!
3) According to scientists’ calculations, over the course of 4.5 billion years, the Moon’s surface should be covered by 345 meters of meteorite dust! However, astronauts found only about 1 cm of dust on the Moon, which proves that the Moon, like other planets, is young!
4) Recent studies have confirmed that the common ancestor of the entire human race, “Mitochondrial Eve,” lived approximately 6,500 years ago, not 200,000 years ago as previously claimed! The revised molecular clock shows the mutation rate in human mitochondria! The biblical timeline is correct, and evolution is wrong!
5) The Earth isn’t millions of years old! The oldest living organisms on the planet are 4,300 years old! Giant sequoias have stood since the global flood that occurred 4,350 years ago! The age of the world’s oldest trees (the bristlecone pine, known as “Methuselah,” 4,845 years old) is only in the thousands, not tens of thousands of years!
6) No amount of time—not even millions or tens of thousands of years—could keep oil and gas trapped deep within the Earth’s crust under a pressure of 1,300 atmospheres! It has been scientifically proven that the rock layers above the oil can withstand such pressure for no more than 10,000 years; after that, they begin to fracture! Yet the rock layers are still intact! Because the Earth is young!
7) The amount of salt in the ocean that is washed in by rain each year is enough to last only 6,000 years! If the Earth is billions of years old, where is all the salt?
8) Studies of the river deltas of the world’s great rivers show that they were formed relatively recently, since the time of the Flood! The Mississippi River deposits 80,000 tons of sediment per hour into the Gulf of Mexico delta, yet it is not filled with mud! The river—and, consequently, the Earth—is not millions of years old! Furthermore, at the mouths of all the world’s great rivers (the Congo, Indus, Ganges, Yangtze, Seine, Rhine, Volga, Thames, and Columbia), there is only as much silt as would have accumulated over 4,500 years!
9) History is too short! The oldest documents ever found date back to 3500 BC. All records point to highly advanced civilizations! Homo sapiens did not exist for 190,000 years! Humans appeared 6,000 years ago, which is precisely why we date the development of writing to around 5,000 years ago!
10) Willard Libby, the evolutionist who developed the radiocarbon dating method and received the Nobel Prize for it, said: “This method is unsuitable for determining the age of remains older than 50,000 years. Over thirty years of using this method, we have found that its accuracy drops sharply for periods exceeding 8,000 years. This method is acceptable for ages up to approximately 6,000 B.C. In a refined model, we would obtain an even shorter timeframe.” Dr. Melvin Cook, a specialist in this field, a creationist, and a Nobel Prize nominee, said: “There is sufficient reason to consider this method applicable only for determining ages up to three and a half thousand years.”
11) When the radiometric method was used to determine the age of volcanic rocks from Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano—which is only about 200 years old—the study indicated an age of 22 million years! You have to admit, that’s quite a mistake!
12) The 1801 eruption of the Hualalai volcano produced rocks whose potassium isotope content indicated ages ranging from 160 million to 3 billion years.
As we can see, even the inventor of the radiocarbon dating method acknowledges its inaccuracy.
13) Here are just a few examples of the inaccuracy of carbon-14 dating:
The shell of a living mollusk was dated to be 2,300 years old!
14) A recently killed seal was carbon-dated to have died 1,300 years ago!
15) Carbon dating revealed that the shells of these live snails are 27,000 years old!
16) One part of the mammoth is dated to 295,000 years ago, while the other is dated to 44,000 years ago.
17) Living penguins have been dated to be 8,000 years old. That’s some really old penguins!
